The problem
What makes it hard
The counterparty in the negotiation has the strongest motive and legitimate access to the room. State-sponsored industrial espionage against defence, energy and life science industry is an established activity. Negotiations are often held in rented conference facilities or hotels, where there is no control at all. Dwell time is a negotiating day, which is enough to leave equipment behind.
Appropriate level: TEMPEST Level B / RÖS U2 is enough in an own building with a controlled entrance floor. TEMPEST Level A / RÖS U1 if the room faces the street.
A company cannot always buy. Without a security protection agreement there are limits to what can be delivered and what can be documented.
