How it works
The computing part moves to another room and reaches the workstation over HDBaseT on fiber. Up to 80 km, which is why the same pattern serves a fire cell, a hygiene requirement and a security boundary.
The link carries more than the picture
HDBaseT is five services, not one: video, audio, Ethernet, USB and control. Several of the sub-channels are two-way by design. That is where the security boundary is not, and assuming otherwise is the mistake this pattern invites.
The desk is part of the computer
Everything at the workstation — display, peripherals, the cable between them — is now an extension of the client. The extender separates spaces. It does not separate domains.
