The problem
What makes it hard
The computer must not stand in the theatre for hygiene reasons — it cannot be disinfected, it blows air, it collects dust. The surgeon nevertheless needs images, records and the picture archive at the table.
Latency. A surgeon will not accept delay in an image path. The catalogue says “minimal latency” but gives no figure. Beyond that, a touch screen in a sterile environment needs a wipe-and-cover procedure that no product solves.
