The problem
What makes it hard
Weight, EMC and interception resistance in a platform where every cable penetration is a piece of engineering in its own right.
A cramped, vibrating, electromagnetically dense space with radio transmitters a few metres away, where several networks have to be reached from one console. Vibration and available volume decide the design before any security requirement is written.
EMC and EMSEC get conflated. Passing an interference standard says nothing about whether the equipment radiates information, and the two requirements are met by different means.
