How it works

The computer moves out of the workstation and into a controlled room. What remains at the desk is the presentation and the input devices, connected over fiber.

The zone shrinks — it does not disappear

Emission from the display persists. What changes is how much equipment has to sit inside the controlled space, and therefore what has to be approved, filtered and sealed there.

The desk becomes an extension of the computer

Everything at the desk is now part of the client, including the peripherals and the cable between them. Treating the extender as a security boundary is the mistake this pattern is most often used to make.
